Paul is a Certified Hand Therapist who earned a Master’s Degree is in Occupational Therapy with his undergraduate degree in Recreational Therapy, minoring in Psychology. He has been specializing in rehabilitation of the upper extremity for over 20 years now. He has taught English as a Second Language, Physical Education, Massage Therapy, worked in special education and with troubled youth. His clinical skills in concert with a rich multidisciplinary background helps him treat the person rather than the injury alone. Now as owner and operator of Hands On OT he has the freedom to personalize his treatments and partner with patient’s towards reaching their recovery goals.
Jade began her journey into OT at Boston University, graduating with a masters in 2014. She completed her clinicals in Hawaii at Queen’s Medical Center for substance abuse and dual diagnoses and at the Hawaii VA in outpatient, inpatient, and home health services. Moving to Los Angeles, CA in 2014, she worked in acute inpatient and home health settings before pursuing specialization primarily to treat the upper extremity. With further training in hands, she obtained certifications in instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization and use of PAMs. Jade is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists and is currently working to achieve Certification in Hand Therapy. Other than being a hand therapist, Jade enjoys participating in other meaningful occupations: running, swimming, hiking, climbing, to name a few.
Graduating with both her master’s degree in 2019 and doctoral degree in occupational therapy in 2020 at USC, Rachel completed her residency at Hands on OT under the mentorship of Paul. Since the completion of her degree and graduation in May, she has continued on at Hands on OT to gain a further training in the rehabilitation of the upper extremity and all its components. She previously completed clinical fieldworks in a variety of settings, such as the outpatient hand clinic at Cedars Sinai and the outpatient mental health clinic at the Department of Mental Health.
Kevin was born in California, but predominantly raised in Michigan. He graduated from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus with his Doctor of Physical Therapy. He specialize in orthopedic conditions throughout the entire body including post-surgical, chronic pain, and acute injuries. He previously also assisted incoming PT students with building their foundational knowledge. For fun, he loves to go swimming, hiking, and skiing. If he is stuck indoors, he enjoys playing video games with his girlfriend. If you see him walking around the clinic, feel free to stop him, as he loves to talk about anything!
Hands On OT accepts most major insurances (PPO). We are in-network providers for Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Access Medical Group (HMO), Saint John's Health (HMO), Oscar, Medicare, Tri-Care and Workers Compensation insurances. For patients with Access Medical Group (HMO), Saint John's Health (HMO), or Workers Compensation cases, written prior authorization is needed. If we are not an in-network provider for your insurance plan, please allow us to check your out-of-network benefits.
